Newton Drainage Conduit System

Australian Waterproofing Company’s Newton Baseboard is a unique above-slab baseboard drainage conduit that is a drainage option for negative side waterproofing. This baseboard cavity drainage waterproofing system is designed to be used where the external waterproofing membrane has failed from the positive side or external below ground wall and is either leaking through the wall or the wall floor junction.

Australian Waterproofing Company’s Newton Baseboard is placed at the wall/floor junction. It collects the low- pressure water ingressing and entering the structure. Then diverts it to an appropriate drainage medium such as our Titan-Pro pumping system or existing sump pump system.

Prior to installing Australian Waterproofing Company’s Newton Baseboard Waterproofing System. A formulated sheet membrane is mechanically fixed to the wall with specially designed Multiplugs. Then the Baseboard hanger is screwed into the heads of the specially designed Multiplugs. The Baseboard is then clipped tightly over the hanger to hold the linear lengths of the conduit into position.

The Baseboard joining pieces are used to form a continuous length of the conduit. A 150 mm band of uniquely formulated primer is applied to the floor, ready for sealing of the Baseboard with a specially formulated adhesive. The waterproof bond between the adhesive and the epoxy primer ensures that water is retained within the Baseboard and will move to a predetermined drainage outlet for
removal. Australian Waterproofing Company’s Newton Baseboard preformed internal and external corners and stop-ends are required to complete the system.

Australian Waterproofing Company’s Newton Base-Drain and sheet membrane drainage system is used most commonly
as a drainage option for Negative side (Internal) waterproofing. This Base-Drain Waterproofing system is designed to be used where the external waterproofing membrane has failed from the positive side, and is either leaking through the wall, or floor, or both simultaneously. It’s a British standard approved Type C, cavity drain waterproofing system that we are proud to have within our product range.

The drainage system comprises of a range of specialised products that collectively receive low pressure water ingressing at weaknesses within the structure from both walls and floors, cracks, and junctions. It is collected within our uniquely formulated and designed system. Water is then expelled to an appropriate drainage medium such as our Titan-Pro pumping system or existing sump pump system. (This sump for drainage is generally located at the lowest possible point within the basement area).
